You will learn to make "Aware Dolls" the charming guardian spirits that offer protection, blessings, and whisk away your worries! These colorful and eccentric light-beings are easy and fun to make, and they make great gifts for friends, co-workers, loved ones, and yourself!

Carmen Peer began making the aware dolls as blessings for her children based on the worry dolls her Mexican grandmother made. She shared the tradition with her daughter and granddaughter as a way to connect during the height of COVID-19. They began selling their dolls at the Santa Fe Farmer's Market and ultimately received a grant to publish a book of people's stories with the Aware Dolls. ~ Carmen is a painter and learned painting process with Michele Cassou. Her creativity really took off after diving in to making the aware dolls with her daughter and granddaughter. She paints large abstract and spiritual paintings.
